May 15, 2019 – Denver, Colorado – Choice Market, a convenience store and prepared foods market in Downtown Denver, is launching a new menu that celebrates locally grown ingredients and brighter, seasonal vegetables with dishes like the Tri-Color Quinoa Bowl, Harvest Salad and the Impossible Burger. The menu includes spring ingredients at their finest with locally grown asparagus, quinoa and fun, new nutritionally valuable ingredients like blue-green algae and moringa.


“From day one our mission was to make good food accessible and convenient by sourcing high-quality ingredients and groceries from great local purveyors,” Says Mike Fogarty, Founder and CEO of Choice Market. “This new menu is a stronger reflection of that mission and allows us to celebrate our great Colorado producers.”


Choice’s effort to double down on more local, seasonal ingredients began with interviewing artisans and farmers in the region to replace the products on their shelves that have been grown or made locally. As the store plans for growth with two new locations on the way, Choice Market understands the impact they can have on the local economy, their customer’s health and wellbeing of the planet as they scale this more conscious approach. The brand’s newest advisor, Erik Oberholtzer, Chef and Founder of Tender Greens with 31 restaurants in California, NYC and Boston, led the menu redesign and leaned on his experience scaling relationships with farmers and artisans.


They’ve been dedicated to building a new type of convenience store, one that prioritizes giving people choices that are better for them, with more vegan, gluten-free, seasonal and hyper-local ingredient selection than most convenience stores.


With local vendors like City Bakery, Growers Organic, Seattle Fish, River Bear, The Spice Guy, Altius Farms and more, the day is packed with interviews with the consumer product makers so that Choice Market can learn their story one-on-one, and build a relationship poised for them to grow as Choice opens new locations and serves new markets with their Colfax and Mariposa stores planned.
